Oh yeah and sweet 27 is a good option! Entirely GF.

Just to add, Sweet 27 is completely gluten free except for their beer selection. Some of the entrees are rather spicy, but everything is very good.

Just came here to say this. I ate there last night - you can read my full review on their Yelp lol. They have a lot of options!

The R House food court is a good place to take kids. I can’t speak to GF but with so many vendors you can probably find some dishes that are suitable. Would also recommend Paper Moon Diner.

Second this - R house is our after-zoo stop to get something everyone can enjoy.

I have celiac as well - I've heard good things about Gertrude's (never been and can't speak to kid-friendly). Harmony bakery is entirely GF and close by - they serve lunch too but there's nowhere to sit inside. I've eaten at Blue Pit before and been fine and Papi's Taco is also nearby (they have a GF menu). Download the app Find Me Gluten Free and you can search via a map.

Honestly, I don't think Gertrude's is really kid-friendly, unless they are well-behaved. Gertrudes caters to the museum crowd.

I’ve taken my son to Gertrude’s since he was a little kid. If your kiddo is well-behaved in restaurants, Gertrude’s is totally fine. The hot dog on their kids menu is awesome!

i have celiac - i love Harmony Bakery for treats (but no seating); Papi's Taco is safe and has lots of options; a little further out of the way but Corner Pantry on Falls Road is awesome and very celiac-friendly.

I have friends with a kid who has celiac disease, and we all went to Daniela on 36th in Hampden recently. Their gf pasta options got a thumbs up from kid and very diligent parents, who asked lots of questions to the server and felt good about their procedures for keeping things separate.

Miss Shirley’s cafe is very kid friendly, has an extensive GF menu, and takes cross contact very seriously. Daniella Pasta in Hampden is a little nicer but their homemade GF pasta is to die for. Baltimore Gluten Free on Instagram and Facebook is a wealth of knowledge and suggestions.

If you have celiac, I would go with Sweet27 or Harmony Bakery, since they’re entirely gluten free.
