Where to Sell Plants in Baltimore

I have two beautiful plants: 1) ficus and 2) philodendrum selloum. These plants are ~30 years old. I see them retailing for $650 to $850 online. And, I'm clearly biased, but I believe my plants to be nice than the ones being sold online.

Other than FB Marketplace and Craigslist, where I can sell these plants? Are there places in Baltimore that would like to buy the plants at a wholesale price and sell them for the retail price?

I sell a lot of, uh, plants. CL and FB are pretty much where the action is these days. Take some great pictures and be patient. Cash only, local sale only, first come first served with no exceptions and you can probably sell them. They are beautiful plants for sure!

Oh, and believe it or not a lot of expensive plants are listed and sold through E-Bay. This usually involves shipping the plants, so I have avoided this route.

Talk to one of the specialty boutique plant stores and see if they’ll work with you to find a buyer, and negotiate commission. Something like B. Willow maybe in Remington. I’m not suggesting them specifically, it’s just the only one that comes to mind that I know by name.

IMO, I don’t think you’re gonna get anything near the price that you are hoping for. I’m pretty sure half of the price of a plant like that involves shipping. I could be wrong, and hopefully so.

I wish I had space in my store for these beauties! I own a florist, but our floor space is limited. Try calling around to different florists, most of them sell plants. You might have some luck.
