Found the ellusive bean pie man saturday by the patapsaco flea market . Def made my weekend and cant wait to have it for lunch .

The Nation of Islam brothers used to be on the corner of Hillen & Argonne or Hillen & Coldspring near Morgan selling beanpies and Final Call or Muhammad Speaks. Years ago I got one of them to tell me where the pies are baked at and was able to buy them directly from the bakery. It was on Park Heights Ave., not sure if its still there as its been over 15 years.

I like the bean pies too. And the NOI Muslims are always nice to my pasty Caucasian ass. Don't agree with their ethos, but respect them all the same.

I have had 1 NOI beanpie before ( It was my first one) And yeah I had not seen them out in years and really got excited like a fat kid getting some cake (or pie) .I usually get my pies at Kimmys on Edmonson (Great chicken livers) .
