I've seen recently dead deer on the Stoney Run trail once or twice, so presumably there's a live population around somewhere.

What part? I’m on it every day with my dog.

Near the Wyman Park Drive entrance, maybe a couple hundred feet from that hill with the gravel. Probably got hit by a car on the road and made it's way down there : (

Oh I never go to that part of the trail, so that’s probably why I didn’t see it.

I see living deer in my neighborhood constantly (foxes too). I live right by Cylburn Arboretum, and they cruise through my yard and eat my hostas all the time.

You must be my neighbor! My hostas didn’t stand a chance this year. One perfect little leaf would form, and the next morning it was chomped down to a stub like all the rest.

Go through Druid hill park around dusk, you’ll see deer. The last 3 times I’ve biked through it I’ve seen a number of them. Got really close to a foal last time. Saw about 10-12 total the last time too.
