Cant say about in the city but Asian Court off Marriotsville Road is pretty good.

Not really. There is Fooboa in Catonsville, which is just general Chinese but specializes in steamed dishes. Orient Expressed in Charles Village also has some Cantonese dishes, but its definitely not a Cantonese restaurant. You'll need to travel to Rockville for the real deal.

Oh man, I miss Golden Star (can’t imagine it’s still there and I wish I had more detail - went as a kid so we are taking 1980-1995 when I’d be there.

Check out Mai Dragon in Hanover. It’s a 20mins drive but really authentic. We waited 1.5hour on a Sunday 🤣

there is no where to get dim sum in the city! mai dragon in hanover is the closest place, but their dim sum menu is fantastic!
