Hey folks, I am just moving back to Baltimore, first time in Hampden. I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions for a gym in Hampden?

The qualities I am looking for: Mandatory: Free weights Preference: Open longer hours/24hr, Less active (less people, less waiting for equipment)

I am willing to pay a higher than average gym fee for the things I am looking for (in case there may be something like a private gym or something like that).

Thanks! ^.^

Only full gym in Hampden is Brick Bodies at the Rotunda, but everyone seems to love it.

Ive been going for 3 years and like it. Never really too crowded (weekdays at 6pm can get a bit crowded, unsurprisingly). Only open until 10pm I believe, so I’m not sure if that fits OPs needs.

Movement is expensive and it's a climbing gym so there isn't a diversity of machines. They have everything for major lifts/free weights but if you want actual weight machines they don't have any. Also only a few racks so there is a wait time during peak hours.

Brick Bodies is good and you'll get a solid gym experience but it tends to be busy but you can use their Timonium location too which is pretty large though also busy.

The Y is a great option. It's cheap and the one in Towson has a good amount of machines and free weights and usually not too busy. Also you'd have access to all of Y locations which adds flexibility, there's one nearby on Druid Park dr.

Personally I do both Movement and the Y but you should be able to walk in to any of these places and get a free tour. Brick Bodies will likely give you a day pass to try it out
