I am currently broken down on 695 by exit 20 and really struggling financially, does anyone know a cheap tow truck driver or someone that could assist? Really in a tough spot. Thanks.

This is the answer, but there’s a far easier number to memorize.
“#77”
That number, on any “State-owned primary roadways in Maryland” will contact an MDOT dispatcher who will send out help to your location.
They’re absolutely lovely, and made my tire getting destroyed by a pothole not the worst. :)
edited to add: for free. The attempt to reinflate my tire and put on a spare was 100% free.
As I was waiting for the actual tow truck one of those MDOT people just driving around stopped but I didn't even ask options at that point, but very useful for future
Chrishelles Towing - (410) 900-4512
They helped my husband and I out a while back. It was $100 and he accepted credit cards.
So I made this post kinda hoping for some good local kinda current reviews, so I ended up going with this company that my girlfriends brother knows, I tell him "I have card or cash app". Mind you I only know him by his first name, phone number, and personal-ish history with, he tells me "cash app works, its just my number" so I copied, pasted his number and noticed the cash tag looked super familiar. Took me a minute or two to realize it was THIS COMMENT! Highly recommend Chrishelles Towing, he was super nice, super quick, and reasonably priced. Definitely gonna leave a real review but in case anyone comes here searching. Definitely recommend.
Glad it worked out!
Most people don’t realize but a lot of times you get roadside service from your cell phone carrier….. one of those extras that people rarely realize they have signed up for.
Literally I have t mobile and apparently I have a grandfathered plan that doesn’t include that. But it’s only within 5 miles, and I’m 9 from home.
Some times also your credit card will offer it too
Your insurance doesn't have towing included?
So it’s such a weird spot, but struggling financially and I believe we just took that off a couple months ago.
I’m glad you got help — on a random note — there is an actual tow person convention happening at the city convention center right now. Ha. I passed by last night and noticed the shiny new tow trucks parked outside and thought that was sort of funny. A convention. For the tow people. Amazing.
In the past, I've just signed up for Triple A, or renewed it, and then said, "Oh, btw, can you also send me a tow truck?" Because you get 1 free tow a year, for like the $50 Triple A yearly fee, that you can then cancel.
Not sure if it still works this way 10+ year old numbers), but it was a pretty solid deal whenever I used it.

So is Reddit. Where I asked the fellow people in my community, in a more up to date version, for advice.

Not sure about cost, but if you call MDOT they will provide roadside assistance if you’re broken down on any interstate.
Worth a shot, hope this helps: 410-582-5650
