I replied to your other post about traffic problems around Caton Avenue and Benson Avenue. I also sent you the reference number for the traffic calming request. Our block group monitored the traffic accidents on Caton Avenue since the construction began at the new truck warehouse. No day had less than three accidents. This is terrible for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers. May you please respond or at least look at the reference number. Our neighborhood can’t get any help since councilwoman Porter and her cadre came in, they support so many truck companies the streets are falling apart.

Hey there! We're not seeing a DM from you, can you try sending it to us again? Just sent you a DM to confirm.

I sent it as a message because it contained all the data from our blocks efforts to slow traffic down I can copy that into the DM

Did that abandoned pickup truck at Ostend and Leadenhall ever get wheeled off? I submitted it to 311 on three separate occasions. It’s been brutalized by the neighborhood, windows broken out, dashboard raided, I’d imagine there’s components that have been ripped out under the hood.

Sure would be nice if that eyesore was gone…

If you DM us the 311 number, we can check into it for you.

As a city resident who was struck by a car at an unsafe intersection you STILL HAVEN’T FIXED (29th and Huntingdon), this comes off as massively passive-aggressive and unprofessional. Stop posting maymays and give us the effective traffic calming measures that wealthier neighborhoods have enjoyed for years. smdh

Hi there! We're working with GRIA on this; the next step is to complete the analysis using this data during the holidays. After that, we’ll be meeting with the community to share those results, as well as collaborate on the design.

What's the deal with the traffic/planning master plans? When I left (2014) Violetville/Morrell Park had a master plan for Wilkens/Caton/I-95/Washington to prevent too many trucks and save the green space. Look at it now. massive construction. Constant heavy truck traffic. No improved infrastructure. No widened roads or changed signals. How does that even happen? 4 major projects in 2 years IN THE SAME AREA. All paved over green space for big trucks.

I'm in the same area as u/Animanialmanac.No one can get traction with DOT because we're not connected to the council person. Porter doesn't give a shit if isn't the tiny part of Pigtown where she lives or the one block here where her friend lives. My block was supposed to get sidewalks regraded because the tree roots buckled them. Project cancelled. Why? I know it's not streets but sidewalks is under Transportation. I work in the business. The sidewalk fix is a 2 week job max. The sidewalks are dangerous. What's up?

The traffic light at Caton Avenue and Benson Avenue is covered with burlap, no lane changes or traffic calming. The accident there yesterday afternoon was horrific.
