I’m wondering if anyone knows of businesses or individuals in the area offer permanent jewelry (a la Catbird in NYC). Basically it’s jewelry that is custom fit and essentially welded around your wrist, ankle, etc. (obviously it can be cut off, but once you do that, it’s not able to be put back on). I was thinking of trying to get it done with a friend as a Christmas gift but I’m coming up empty handed so far. Closest thing I’ve been able to find is an event that happened over the summer at a boutique in Bel Air done by “South of Smith” which I can’t seem to find any info on.

Edit: thanks for all the opinions on what a terrible idea this is. To those of you with actual answer, thank for you for real!

This seems like a really awful idea. You should Google image search “hand degloving”

What happens if you need a CT Scan or go through a metal detector. They make you remove all metal.

Ooh good to know! Do you happen to know if they do it in-house or just via pop up?

I think they have an in house person. I saw an online time reservation link when they first started

Charm.city.links on IG. They have a location in Fed Hill and do a lot of pop ups at salons in the area

Do they have any kind of social media presence? I haven’t been able to find anything. I guess I’ll just have to keep an eye out!
