I’ll be in the mt vernon neighborhood. Looks like most people here have xfinity? I can’t seem to find a customer service number for them and it’s driving me crazy! Verizon offers 5g for my address, does anyone have any experience with them? Or I’ve heard T-Mobile was an option too? Any others? TIA

Xfinity is pretty much the only game in that area. The T-mobile 5g is actually pretty dang good if you want to go that route.

If you can get it. A tower one block over from me but I can't sign up for it which is mildly infuriating.

I live in Bolton Hill - have used xfinity for about a year and had maybe 2 days where connection was spotty/they announced an outage - and even then only for a few hours. I know lots of people hate xfinity but honestly I’ve never had any issues.

I use their $30 a month plan, bought my own router to save on those fees. I work from home and game a bit too and it’s always been plenty of speed for me. The signal is a bit weak far from the router, so you might want to look into the specs on their hardware if you plan on renting a router from them.

As for set up - I went to their store in the Rotunda (they let you make an appt. in advance). Got set up in maybe 30 minutes? Came home and did a self installation - had internet same day I moved in.

Dang—they’ve got me paying $100 for internet only. I need to try to figure out how to get on this $30/month plan!

Avoid xfinity if you can. One of the most incompetent companies I’ve ever dealt with. Verizon is fine if you can get it

FYI, you can call 1-800-xfinity (1-800-934-6489) for customer service.
