I'm in Upper Fells, and I'd like to have my rear and side of my rowhome repointed in the spring. I'd like a licensed, insured contractor who pulls permits for me, not Uncle Donny. I searched the sub and I didn't see anything recent. Who has someone they've used recently on an old rowhome, and are pleased with? Thanks.

I’ve used him and he has done ton a ton of work around the area. He has a Facebook page and I’ve never seen or heard anything negative bout him.

Joe did repointing work for me and did a really great job, so I had him come out to look at some other work that needed to be done. He said he'd get back to me about it, then ghosted me. Disappointing.

I also have a row home in Upper Fells and I use Charm City Construction and Repair as my contractor for tons of stuff, including repointing. Kevin is awesome, lives in the neighborhood, and is very knowledgeable, especially about appropriate types of mortar for different purposes. The repointing I had them do was flawless.

I didn’t have such a good experience with them. I had pretty major issues with communication and transparency regarding the work they were doing. I was way overcharged for some final brick work they did to fix their previous work that didn’t hold up. I had questions about the cost considering it was way more an hour than anything else they did but no one would address my concern or offer an explanation. Not a very trustworthy or honest company in my opinion.

Thanks for posting these links. I’m on the hunt for good contractors that do solid work. These row houses always need some fix or improvement!
