Car Service to Dulles

Flying out of IAD (I know, I know but I had no choice) in March and seeking a reputable car service to book for pick up in Highlandtown and drop off at the airport.

I don’t want to do Uber or Lyft because I want a guaranteed ride. Not going with public transport as my trip is international and a long flight so I’d like the easiest and most direct transport.

I’m also aware of this new hybrid situation of what may seem like a brick and mortar business with a fleet, that’s actually a virtual dispatch contracting with third party drivers. Learned the hard way once they’re not very reliable either.

Any recs for a company that will actually pick me up on time?

I did this hunt about a year ago, ended up getting a rental car in Baltimore the night before the flight and drove 1 way to Dulles. Picked the car up at an Avis station in a downtown hotel

We’ve flown out of Dulles and stayed at an airport hotel the night before. They typically let you leave your car at the hotel while you’re away. Especially helpful for morning flights.

Maryland Black Car is an upscale car service. They're reliable. I've used them in the past, and they're punctual and professional. It will probably cost you more than renting a car. It's an option if you (1) can afford it, and (2) really want the most hassle-free way of getting to IAD.

Columbia Airport Taxi - used them for trips down to NoVa from HoCo, not super expensive and good drivers.
