Ive been hooked on boggle (super big 6x6) for a few years and I think ive gotten pretty damn good. I don't know why boggle doesn't have any kind of tournament scene nationally and doesn't get any respect compared to scrabble. It's hands down a far superior game not even close. scrabble is slow boring and too dependent on luck of the draw. Boggle is fast paced, high intensity, requires zero luck and is the perfect word game for hyper competitive people. In my perfect world there would be a place i could go to a few times a month and get in a quick 5-10 rounds with some worthy competition. Maybe a tournament once in a while who knows. That shit doesn't exist yet so for now i would settle for meeting a few new players in a public setting (probably a bar) (no weird shit!) who are competitive and looking to play. I know there are others out there so I'm throwing up the bat signal. Hit me up

update: Thanks for the suggestions! I'm going to look into no land beyond first. that seems like the best venue since its a game based bar not a bar that hosts a game night. updates coming.

Maybe reach out to No Land Beyond and see if they want to host. Or you can organize a Boogle meetup there!

Check out Backyard in Hollins Market on Tuesdays. They do a game night. I believe it’s always random and or they play multiple games per night. Haven’t been yet due to my work schedule but plan on going starting in February. Also check out No Land Beyond in Old Goucher.

I mean, as someone who loves Boggle, there isn't really any Game Theory to it. It's closer to track and field than it is to chess.

The Hampden Board Game club meets every Monday at Frazier’s. You may be able to find players there. They have a Facebook page
