CoBalt on 36th street in Hampden. I think their day passes are $20. I’ve gone there whenever there have been power or cable outages in my neighborhood.

I’ve tried working at coffee shops and such, but I’ve found that my productivity takes a hit from the distractions. CoBalt is really quiet and chill. I always get a lot done when I work there.

Weird follow-up: what is the power outage situation/frequency in Baltimore? Moving to the city (from the countryside) and wondering whether or not to bring my generator. Thanks!!!

In the four years I’ve lived here, there has only been one outage long enough to justify a generator (a big storm last summer). Experiences probably vary neighborhood to neighborhood though

Seemed solid. I had no issues any of the times I went.

Oh ok, is there a cafe inside? I don't mind going there at some point but for $20 I need my money's worth.

No, but they do have free coffee. Zeke’s, IIRC.

Also, there are several options for snacks/lunch on that block if you need anything.

Oh so you can leave out and come back in? That's cool. I'm not a coffee drinker at all so Zeke's is no interest to me
