Looking for somewhere in the city to get out and take some fun classes. I know Creative Alliance has their new space, but there’s not a lot on the schedule yet. Looking for things like cooking, various arts and crafts etc.
I took some classes at Baltimore Chef Shop in Hampden a few years back. I think they went online during the pandemic, and I’m not sure what their status is now, but I’d definitely recommend them.
I also took a calligraphy class that was a lot of fun. Local calligraphers and artists will usual host events at breweries or art studios sometimes.
Baltimore Chef Shop is great! My wife got me a Korean Street Food class for my birthday in November and we loved it, so I got her a French Desserts one for xmas. Both were in person, would recommend.

I took pottery classes at The Potter’s Guild and it was a great time—the only downside is you have to be quick to sign up when they have openings.
I also know some people that have done classes/workshops at Baltimore Clayworks, which has a wider variety of class lengths.
Domesticity in Lauraville has a lot of sewing and fabric related classes, and other crafts, too.

This is a good reminder! I took a continuing Ed class there for Spanish years ago. I should see what else they have.
I took a sewing class a few years back. They offer so much! I’d say it’s affordable too.

Lovelyarns in Hampden has classes if you are interested in fiber arts like knit/crochet/weave/spin/etc.

Baltimore Jewelry Center offers a bunch of metalworking and jewelry classes. Some are only a day or two, some are as long as 12 weeks.
Neighborhood fiber Co does a yarn dying class that was fun also.

Station North Tool Library does a lot of great classes that are very fun and a great way to learn some new skills.
I took the kitchen knife making class back in the first year they started offering it and had a blast. Learned a ton, met some cool people, and left with a new set of skills that I've used to make custom gifts for friends and family several times since.
