Fuck no, it's not Tagliata, unless your wife is after the most mediocre overpriced Italian food in the city. Even setting aside the fact that it's Atlas, it's just not very good.

Where would you say, because it is far better than 99% of chicken parm that I have had and I am a very critical diner

Sabatinos is my personal go-to for Italian. I used to bartend in that area and people raved about Tagliata and I don't know why. I found nothing to recommend the overpriced food at that place besides the parm cheese they serve off the block with the bread. It's not bad food, it's just unimpressive for the price.

You just sound like every other salty anti-Atlas person (which I understand to an extent). However, their food is delicious and they have a great atmosphere. Overpriced? Sure, but if you don't like it then just don't go.

Anti-Atlas folks would tell you to avoid Tagliata because of Atlas. I'm telling you to avoid it because of the mediocre, overpriced food. This is a thread about soliciting opinions on food, so you can miss me with that "just don't go" bullshit.

Yea you’re definitely wrong about mediocre food, overpriced sure. A lot of their restaurants I would agree about the food being mediocre but the chef at Tagliata is incredible.

You're entitled to your low standards. I'm not gonna argue.

Lol, I’ve worked in the best restaurants through md and dc and dined in a lot of the best restaurants in the world. I actually have extremely high standards, but unfortunately most people don’t know what good food is or let their personal biases influence their opinions.
