I’m considering making a move to one of the south Baltimore neighborhoods. Currently living in Nashville, TN and haven’t been back in some time, so I’m sure neighborhoods have since I was still there.
My commute would be to Columbia. I’m a young(ish) professional, and I value being close to restaurants/coffee shops and other cool places to go. No kids, so the school system isn’t important.
What neighborhoods should I look in to rent? Advice on what to avoid?

Federal Hill, Locust Point, Riverside and adjacent neighborhoods are great for young professionals, with or without kids. Very walkable with plenty of bars and restaurants. Added bonus of being right off of 95 avoids having to traverse through the city (Fells Point) or the tunnel (Canton, etc) to commute to Columbia.
