for as long as i can remember, i have struggled to read books. i used to be an avid reader back in middle school and high school until i got to my senior year and basically had no time to read at all. what makes it harder for me to read is that i have dyslexia, and sometimes i don't wanna sit down and read a long book, unless it was wattpad or there is an audiobook. nowadays, wattpad does not have great books to read and i am not paying for a book to read through there. recently i found this app called bookly. bookly is a reading habit app that tracks the time you read everyday, and this app helped me a lot! so far, i read two books (both in audio) for my bookghan, and after reading kindred for two hours, i ended up reading 108 pages within two days! TWO FREAKING DAYS FOR TWO HOURS. the background noises seriously helped a lot that i sometimes forget i am at home. two hours may seem a lot for a reader, but i think it is a huge achievement for me. please give bookly a chance! i promise you will not be disappointed!

How did an app that tells you how long you did a thing make you overcome dyslexia or distracting background noise?

you add the book you're currently reading, set how long you want to read, and start your reading there. i over came dyslexia a long time ago, and i still have some of my moments when reading a book. sometimes i need something to listen to when reading, unless im listening to an audiobook.

Hi! Sorry this is a bit off topic, but what is a bookghan? I'm a bit unfamiliar with this term.

I agree with the sentiment, though! Bookly is quite nice if you're looking for timed reading habit trackers :)

a bookghan is a crocheted book blanket based on what you've read. some people crochet rows based on what genre they read, how pages they read, and a five star rating. i am using a star rating since i don't read a bit of everything (psychological thrillers, horror, fantasy, slice of life, and romance are my go tos atm) and getting yarn for each genre would be pricey.

here's the following link to my post about the colors and the rating ive chosed: https://www.reddit.com/r/temperatureblanket/comments/1175w0h/new_temperature_blanket_idea/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

i hope this explanation has made sense!

Ironically I downloaded it earlier this week and I’ve actually had a 7-day reading streak, so I do find it very helpful!
