I had been reading a little life for 10 days straight. And I have complaints!!

When I was reading the book, my emotions we all over the place. I felt all kind of emotions but also my stomach was filled with butterflies at times. (If you know you know) Sometimes I had to take breaks in between the chapters and even pages because of how disturbing the things would be. Then again I'd resume, thinking there would be a point I'd shed heartfelt tears. I specifically liked a few characters and I still adore them. I loved the relationships that had built overtime. Things were built, things were destroyed. Over and over and over again...

I am not saying it's a bad book, but I agree when people say it's a torture porn. At times it felt exaggerated. But one thing I'd say, if you've read the book then you'll learn a lot of things about people who have had traumas or are just mentally at a bad place.

But I don't understand where was the point that was supposed to tear me to pieces??? Am I just a stone hearted person? 😭

I've always thought that a lack of physical response to emotion, such as crying, doesn't always reflect the lack of feeling those emotions.

I had a whole lot of feelings while I read it, but I don’t think I cried much if at all.

Like u/Geetright said not showing a physical symptom of an emotion, I.e crying, doesn’t mean you didn’t have that emotion.

Some call it trauma porn but I disagree. Some people’s lives are actually that awful. Not every story has a happy ending. It was very emotional, didn’t cry either, definitely won’t read again, but very good book.
