I know but most fanfics I found have the same exact wordings and writing style. Only difference is that they would add a new character or focus on specific ship. I want a different font to the story if u get what I mean. Or like how people do a cover version of a song. Like they make it their own you know. Kind of like that.

Sounds like nobody's shown you the good stuff, my guy.
That said, what you're asking for isn't actually legal for publication without getting the rights or waiting until it's public domain. Otherwise it's just sparkling plagiarism.

You're right. Acotar is definitely not remotely good enough book to be doing shady stuff lol.i just like trash and wanted a different kind of trash but I guess I will stick with fanfic. Thanks

Well, if you ever want fic recs that enrich canon without burrowing into OCs or ships, I can front you a few, provided you like Star Trek: Deep Space 9, The Silmarillion, or The Winter Soldier.

I do love star trek. Heck, send me your favorites and I will read them.

Do you like xenopolitics? Because I fucking love xenopolitics. It's Garashir but as of chapter 56 they have mostly just had depressing conversations where they pointedly don't talk about how they were never in a relationship. Kelas Parmak and Rekot are both canon characters, also. The real meat of the story is about whether Cardassia eats itself alive after the Dominion War.

Hell yeah! Thanks dude. Can't wait to dive in

Or just look on Goodreads for books like the you’re currently reading and read one of those. Or else you’re just reading fanfic…
bob-54 OP t1_ixrg42h wrote
Yea i think I might just have to stick with those options. Thanks!

The author of The Traitor Baru Cormorant was in exactly your position when he read one of David Weber's worse books. So he made a full rewrite of the novel.

Just quick searched the synopsis of The traitor Baru Cormorant and all i have to say is, that u should be ashamed....for telling me about it when I have a dozen if not more books left to read. Fuck you, you beautiful human. And yes, David weber is me and I am David weber lols

My example isn’t a rewrite per se. However, when Robert Jordan died, Brandon Sanderson was hired to finish the final books in the Wheel of Time series. I love the first few Wheel of Time books but by the end Jordan seemed to lose direction. Sanderson not only finished the series (adopting the story’s approach to magic, etc, which is different than his own), but his last books are now my favorites in the series. In this way, his books are both a continuation and a rewrite.
