Last year was fun, so I'm posting again! I make Christmas cookies after books I've read over the year! See if you can guess what I've read!

Hey bookworms! So my Wife's family does Christmas Cookies every year, and it's become a tradition. A long time ago, I ran out of normal ideas, then I ran out of weird ideas, so I started making cookies about all the books I read that year! Last year I posted 6 cookies and you all guessed most of them!

This is the 2022 batch. Two are sequels of my pic from last year (Last year); I kept reading in those universes. Three of these came out in the last six years, with one just a few months ago. And the oldest book in the set was delivered to me in pieces. Two of these authors are deceased. One shares a title with a recent Netflix series, and while it's not the same protagonist, they share a common character. And the second one's text is "1P" (the black icing tip was a little too thick), but I think I still captured the subject's good side...

  1. Napoleon III and Abraham Lincoln are both part of the plot, as is Franz Joseph of the Austrian Empire. And yes it's about the failed reign of Maximilian, but from another perspective.

Heck yeah it is. MVL quickly slid into my favorite protagonist list. When he's upping the stakes near the end of GP, I felt as excited as he was! I got Raising Steam for xmas, and I can't wait to get into it!

But no, #4 is expanse related. Check the comments. Someone got it already.

Como Aqua Para Chocolate is a Mexican novel by Laura Esquivel It is a passionate love story that takes place in northern Mexico during the Mexican Revolution and it a great intro to Hispanic magical realism. It is a quick read if you need a fill in between books
