I've finished "The Shepherd's Crown." and now there's no more new Pratchett in my like and I'm not okay with that.
I've had the paperback waiting to go since release day and I've not been able to bring myself to start the end.
But I could fall down the stairs tomorrow and die without knowing how things finished for the Disc, but now I know and that's okay.
And it's sad. I've been reading these since '85 and I'm feeling a bit disconnected.

Let's hear your happy pTerry stories then!

Well done. I found it helpful reading it thinking this is his message to us, don't ask unreasonable things of successors, rally round and then find your own shepherding hut. Felt like he was worried we'd put pressure on Rihanna but she's to get on with being herself.

You may be haven't yet realised just how many of us post about things spotted in rereads . It's a whole new ball game and full of surprises. Looking forward to your next round of reread posts.

What a great thing to say. I agree about rereads, and I'm amazed at what I miss on my first pass through a book.

Ah I hadn’t read any of the Tiffany books until lockdown 2020. I’m so glad I left myself that little treat for such a weird and isolating time, I would have enjoyed them anyway but it hit different.

I actually finished recently the biography by Rob, so silly because I know how it ends and yet wasn’t really prepared for it. The descriptions of his deterioration are very strong, and you can’t help but come away with a deep understanding of how much that disease takes from everyone it touches.

The great thing about books (or movies or TV shows) is that you can always go back. And the characters will always live for you again.
