Just as the title says. This is the first year I have dedicated winter tires on my car, and was wondering when would be the best time to switch them out for my all season?

Ahh, so YOU'RE the reason we haven't had any real snow!

Just kidding! Congratulations on getting winter tires, and sorry you haven't really needed them. Mid-to-late March is usually pretty solid for avoiding the last of the possible snowstorms.

Tomorrow, preferably. Ski season hasn't been great, and you taking one for the team will guarantee that we get a good snowstorm.

More seriously, April.

Why would someone spend money and hassle on changing in and out winter tires? They wreck your gas mileage too.

Just go with well-treaded all-season tires and you'll be all set.

Yeah, pack em up, put away your snow shovel, and take the scraper out of the car. That should do it.

Yep

The day you switch them is gonna lead to a storm so think of the rest of us and wait until June.

Usually wait until April and mornings are above 32 degrees

Patriots Day. Also a good day to mothball the snow blower.

I’m kinda pissed I put them on at all this year. Lack of snow aside, it hasn’t even been cold enough to matter. I’ve needed them exactly once, to get up my sister’s driveway in Vermont.
