Note: i do not need my photos taken - i just want some 2x2 prints for my passport. They cost $15-20 at USPS but I can just print it for $1.

Anyone know where I can print the 2x2 photos? It seems most places only offer sizes 4x4 or more (not sure if you can split the photos). Thanks

You can print a 2x2 photo on a 4x6 print. Then, cut it to size

I did it at the self service photo kiosks at CVS (for this exact purpose), but that was like 5 years ago…

CVS will print passport size. I've had them print photos I took and they trimmed them for me after printing.

Are you sure you need to cut them yourself? They usually have a tool so it becomes the exact size they need.

Walmart is the answer. Send it in online, and pick it up in an hour. Obviously there is no Walmart in Boston- but I have found this to be the most cost effective solution.

I suggest just doing it at USPS. They’re very particular about the photo and you don’t want it rejected.

They're charging that much because it has to be configured perfectly in order to be accepted. Meaning your head has to be an exact percentage of the picture once printed, and it has to be cut perfectly. It's actually harder for most places to print a photo that they didn't take. You can do it yourself at photo kiosks at CVS, but you should make a couple variations.

Walgreens will let you do just the photo kiosk and the app ensures it fits the passport standard ratios you need. $15. Comes in 2x2 size. I took the photo myself.

If you qualify, you can apply for passport renewal online and printing photos won't be needed. I'm hoping you do because it was very easy.

Doesn’t really work that way. Places like CVS (and the USPS) run the same software as the state department to determine if the photo is acceptable. If you want to risk it to save $10, good luck.

A cheap DIY option: If you’re handy with an X-Acto knife and basic photo editing software, Walgreens is currently offering a free 8”x10” photo print using coupon code "BIG-LUCK" at checkout.

I used to work at Walgreens. A lot of time, customers complaint about why their diy 2x2 photo got rejected.

I did this recently and the photos were rejected at the USPS When we applied for passports. It’s not just the size but also how large your head appears within the frame (which is detailed on the application and I just did not appreciate it.) So be forewarned.

I will say…the USPS lady at the Davis Sq. Post office couldn’t have been nicer in taking the correct pics and processing the application.
