I'm bringing a small group of high school teens up to Boston next month (nearest T stop is Chinatown), and am struggling to plan evening activities that is accommodating for, and still cool enough for, these adult wannabes.

We will be there from Thursday to Tuesday.

My vision is some boisterous pub style atmosphere that has enough games that would keep the kiddos occupied, but also has a live music situation. It could be a rowdy band or some grizzly old man in the corner, but just something to stomp your feet or sing along to while the chaperones have a drink without being bothered by bored teenagers.

Specific I know, but does such a place exist? Thanks a bunch in advance!!

I wouldn’t take a group of teens to a brewery.

Flatbread in Davis Square might be fun, they have candlepin bowling, good pizza, and a bar for the adults.

You're probably going to have to compromise on some of your requirements. Almost no places that meet your description will let in anyone under 18 (much less 21) after dark. You could maybe find some pubs in the afternoon who'll have live music, but I'd temper expectations.

Aeronaut Brewing up in Somerville might be your best shot, but it's a significant walk from the T. They have games and live music on the weekend and they allow all ages. You could try some jazz spots like the Beehive or Club Passim, but they're kind of stuffy and maybe not great for teens who aren't already in to jazz.

Lucky Strike in Assembly has bowling and an arcade that is fun.

There are only 8 of us, not like it's a whole busload.

You may try either Spin in South Boston which allows kids before 9pm or Lucky Strike in Fenway or Somerville but they also limit the entrance of minors (up to 8pm I think). No live music that I am aware on either of those options.
