I fly quite a bit for work. Drop off they will take you to your terminal / where your airline drop off is. Pick up there is a designated Rideshare space in the garage. The app will send you there but there’s signage everywhere that you can follow. Essentially, get yourself down to level G.

The last three trips to the airport I’ve had the Lyft driver insist on dropping me off in the designated area as well. Not sure if there’s been a crack down?

All times I’ve flown from Logan in recent years, drop off also happens in the rideshare space in level G of the central garage. My most recent flight was around Christmas, and drop off happened at the rideshare area.

It depends on the time. Drivers are allowed to drop off at the terminal for early morning flights. I also think some drivers just drop everyone at the rideshare spot.

Interesting. I’ve always just had them take me through departures without even asking. Flew on Tuesday through JetBlue/Terminal C and they took me all the way.

The drop off for terminals A C and E are in central parking, B is near the terminal. The pick up for all four is central parking.

I recommend using a taxi instead. They're cheaper and pick up closer to the terminal.

Last time I did that because of ride share app surge pricing I got a super dirty official taxi. Trunk had bags in it so pretty sure driver was living in the car. It was dirty, no room for your legs because of the plastic shield. Constant commercials being played on tv in front of your head. And i needed to give them directions because they had no idea where to go. Now I just accept the surcharge.

The giving directions is the best part, makes me feel alive again

Just FYI, for now Terminal C taxi pickup is also at Central Parking.

I don't want to reward them for lobbying to make their competitions worse, plus they still try to scam you with shitty routes and "broken" meters.

I usually rideshare TO Logan (as others have noted, the dropoff area isn't always consistent but the central drop off is only maybe 5-10 minutes away from any of the terminals except E) but take a cab FROM Logan. Rideshare drivers are notorious nowadays about canceling pickups at the last minute or forcing riders to initiate the cancel because they don't want to take you to your specific destination. I get why, the system screws us all, etc, but you don't have that fight with the cab stand.

For drop off, you designate in the app which terminal you want to be dropped off at when you book the ride. Pickup is a little trickier because you have to follow a lot of ride share signs to get to the right place. Follow the signs then request the Lyft when you get there and it will come to your current location.

The airport is the only spot I would recommend taking a cab over a rideshare from. It's quicker and cheaper. The only caveat is that if you're going to a residential address, you'll probably need to pay attention to what they're doing because for some reason, cab drivers are still not using GPS and oftentimes asking you where to go.
