I think what op means is major highways but shit even rt 1 can be dark as fuck after midnight.

If no one is around or coming the other direction at night on 495 my beams are on. Tons of deer and it's crazy dark

Had a deer jump out at the 495/290 interchange one night. I might not have seen it if I didn't have my high beams on.
