Planning a film screening for a friend who will be in town promoting their documentary. What would be the best space to host a screening and Q&A?

Capital Theater in Arlington is great. I do rentals there all the time.

It does, for three hours, it’s $200 for weekdays and $300 on weekends. Has about 30 seats, iirc.

I went to a screening/Q&A at the Aquarium theatre, that was cool.

Yeah, I was thinking of this myself. It's $50 per hour, so maybe $100 for a movie, and you get a real legit movie theater with lots of capacity.

They put you in a theater in the back that has room for food tables. They set that up for you, provide a water station, you can bring in outside food and they have a bar at the theater.

I'd try the Brattle Theater in Harvard Square

Video Underground in JP is a small coffee shop/micro-cinema/movie rental store. Locally owned, staff is awesome.

I think the theater in Davis Square has a rentable screening room!
