Any idea why the stone color is different in the upper section of the building compared to the lower?

It's hard to see from this angle, but they cleaned the exterior facing stone but not all the stone facing the inner courtyard.

I just love the intricate details of the building. I am sure many notice the eagles but if you zoom in notice the corners carry fasces, a bundle of sticks attached together a symbolism of power and authority.

At a certain angle this building always reminded me of Duloc castle from the first Shrek

McCormack Post Office from Milk St.
