My fiancé and I are getting married this year and we're hoping to find a venue somewhere in the Boston area.

We're looking for a location that will alow us to bring our own food, unless their catering is really affordable.

The wedding itself will be held in Canton, so somewhere in that area would be best. It would be great if decoration is included or the venue is already beautiful of itself, but we're considering all options at the moment.

It doesn't have to be an "official" wedding venue, so long as we can use it as such.

Any additional advice is also welcomed! Thank you in advance!

EDIT: Seems like I'm being downvoted... did I make a mistake? Also, I'm not from the US, so some "obvious" choices might not have crossed my radar yet. Anything is welcome!

EDIT 2: Thanks for the responses so far! Some of them look really promising!

have you looked into elks lodges / sons of italy / etc.? they're kind of a mixed bag with a lot of variance from city to city.

some of them are really nice, others not so much. (i've been to A LOT of these venues for wrestling, but not anything in/near canton).

you might also be able to get an event room at a hotel. (no idea what the rates are for stuff like that, but the shows i've been to at hotels like mariot burlington were definitely nicer than the elks/soi)

I think "halls" (VFW/Elks/American Legion, etc.) are OP's best bet. It's my understanding that you can bring your own food, but I think they also require you to buy their booze, served by their bartenders (cash bar could be an option if guests would be OK with that).

Does the Irish cultural center do weddings?

The public library rents out very cool rooms of varying sizes for weddings. Same with the yacht clubs along the Charles River.
