Hello! I am based in Boston and in May I will be going on a 3-week vacation to Asia. On my way home, I will need to fly from Seoul to Boston. I’m wondering if there’s anyone who makes this trip regularly who has any tips/advice for the long journey? It seems like the most common layover for the trip is at the Dallas Fort Worth airport. Is it smart to do my layover in Texas? Thank you!!!!!

You'll be flying into Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) with American. With United, it's San Francisco (SFO). With Delta, you'll have a choice between Atlanta (ATL), Detroit (DTW), Minneapolis-St Paul (MSP), or Seattle-Tacoma (SEA).

Make sure you budget enough time for the layover to clear customs, navigate the airport to your connecting flight to BOS, and to account for any unexpected delays. I'd recommend at minimum 2 hours for your layover, more if you choose to fly into one of the super massive airports at ATL or DFW.

Korean Air offers a direct flight from Seoul-Incheon (ICN) to BOS if you want to avoid a layover, although it'll likely be more expensive than the US-based airlines.

The Korean air flight code shares with delta. To Korea it was/is operated by Korean air. To the US it was/is operated by delta.

OP, if you can afford the non-stop it is worth it. Flown through DFW, SF, DC, and Istanbul Boston<->Seoul and direct is worth it.

The Korean Air flight can be purchased through Delta as well. Depending on the tjme of year/when you purchase, the cost difference between the direct and non-direct options are not always that large, and may be worth it to not worry about missing your connection!

I've done 3 layovers in DFW from INC to BOS and it was fine. DFW is pretty large but there's a metro on the second floor in case your gates are far apart.
