When GM/Honda start mass producing electric vehicles in a few years, gas station/charging stations with restaurants and good bathrooms will have a competitive edge while people wait for their batteries to charge.

I have a feeling people will prefer charging at home or in an EV spot at work than going to a gas station

I'm pretty sure that they are referring to when people are on a trip, and need to recharge. Like at lunch time on a road trip.
