Is Boston safe?

Hi, I'm planning to go to Boston on holidays next year as I'm a big Celtics fan, I'm starting to look at some things to do but wanted to know that in general, if the city is safe (I know that all the big cities have their areas)

Most of the city is super safe and chances are most hotels you'd be staying in will be in safe areas.

The area around the stadium is remarkably safe. You’re miles away from the bad areas. Even in the bad places you’d have to make some moves to be hurt. And the baddest of bad, you’d never find yourself in

You kinda have to go out of your way to find dangerous places in Boston. Any well-lit place is going to be just fine.

Even on Mass & Cass no one is there to fuck with you, they're just having a real, real bad day, #8,544 of 27,000. Besides, if you get in trouble just yell YANKEES SUCK! and hopefully that will calm folks down.

Boston is safer than many big cities…but that is not saying much by the state of things today. Try to stay in crowded areas. There is enough random violent crimes that happen to make it unsettling. Most of the bad areas are not close to downtown though.

Yes. Obviously having some basic city sense/street smarts always works in your favor, but Boston - especially the places/neighborhoods that tourists tend to go - is safe.

I’ve walked around Boston alone many times as a 115lb woman and literally never felt uncomfortable.
