Who is downvoting this post? There are indeed parking spaces there (I think on the left side the spots suggest they are specifically for the rail trail users).

That parking lot is for a small retail strip mall (Autozone, Dunkins, a bank)

It'd be nice if they would donate 2-3 spots for the trail. I suspect what'll happen instead is signs with harsh warnings and threats to tow.

They did. I saw last week, there are 3-4 parking spots labeled for trail use
