My husband and I came to the east coast for my graduation and it was a fun and exhausting weekend! We stayed in JP, took the Orange line (successfully!), went to two Sam Adams’, toured one, ate lobster rolls, saw off-season Cape Cod (and nearly froze our parts off), and since we can’t put beer in our carry ons, we’ll be pregaming our flight home in the parking lot. It’s been fun, we are torn between wanting to come back when it’s warmer and wanting to come back in another off-season but with more time and more layers. The lack of crowds was awesome but the weather put a hitch in some plans. Four and a half stars is my rating. It would be five if I didn’t get honked at and brights flashed at me for existing in traffic.

And for summer, I’d suggest early summer because otherwise it can be really hot outside 🙁

We run hot so it was nice to be cold for once! We walked a beach in cape cod and I thought my ears were going to break off.

Next time you come, check out our local breweries. I mean Sam is fine and all, but outside of a couple of the taproom draft offerings, it's not even brewed here.

We did to go others, I just didn’t want to bore anyone by listing the non classic Boston breweries. I’ll bore you though, we did Whalers in Rhode Island, Provincetown Brewery, Turtle Swamp, Trillium, and took the barrel aged tour at Sam Adams, so we weren’t just there drinking the same stuff we can find in our grocery stores.

Indeed. Sam is way down the list of good beer. Widowmaker in Braintree is killing it these days.

Recommend early June or early-mid October for a return to the Cape. Also, lots of good beer is made on the Cape and Islands. Please return! Visitors make it a better place.

You know, I almost didn’t post anything, but I’ve been on this sub for months so I could be a well researched tourist and not be the “hey I’m coming to Boston where should I go?” because that’s annoying. The two times I’ve posted, I’ve had someone snarky respond to me, and I don’t really understand why. I’m bringing money to your city and speaking positively about it. I enjoyed my time, and despite my experience on Reddit, talking to actual locals has been lovely.

I’m genuinely glad you had a good time but I don’t understand the need to make an extremely low effort post about it. It’s the online version of writing “PacificWonderGlo wuz here” in a bathroom stall
