Neither of the lengths of crane cable look plumb. Maybe you could have shot it from a different angle or crop the image so they look plumb, which could imply a right triangle with level ground.

Are you into "ley lines"? It's a cool kind of artifact of perspective seen in landscape images.

Thanks for an informative reply. Gives me a little rabbit hole of things to look into. I took this photo on my phone from my kitchen window because I was high and thought the moon lining up with the crane looked cool. Simple as that. I know nothing about photography and wasn't really going for a great shot.

The plumb thing is just my quirk, but composing the image quickly as you notice it can help you take good pictures. Then you can have fun editing it later, but instantly making a cool picture like yours is a great post here, thanks.
