this sweet girl walked into our house today in dorchester. no microchip. she’s very sweet and well cared for so doubt she is a street cat. doesn’t mind being picked up and loves pets, used a litter box. please share if you know someone with a cat that looks like this

How can something so beautiful and perfect be lost and found?

Thank you for taking the cat in.

oh she didn’t give us much of an option haha. i was waiting to get picked up outside and she ran up to me and meowed to be let inside. i figured she belonged to our neighbors upstairs, because i know they have a cat, and let her in. she ran into our unit and slept on our couch like she had been living here for years. took her to bondvet in seaport to check for microchip because she definitely seems well loved. likes affection and doesn’t mind being picked up. used a litter box. no idea where she came from

This has bn a big problem in past couple years in Boston and I don’t know why but the best thing you could do is put cat back outside ASAP ( b4 cat loses all sense of what more then likely is his real home. I’ve had 3 Cats in my lifetime ( all in Boston) and every one to this day s let out when he/ she wants. A cat was put down do to an older woman posting flyers etc yet not computer savvy . That cat looks plenty healthy and ppl should not be taking any animals they “ think” are missing into there homes…

From past experience we’ve had strays that are very friendly/affectionate. Cats are instinctively inclined to go to the litter box (or your favorite potted plants…) as they like to bury their dirty business to avoid detection.

Most of our cats have chosen us.

Actually it was posted late last night for some reason and yes Dorchester is a large area. Come on u don’t just let ir take healthy animals into ur home. Look at other posts all about cats and her mom bn obsessed with her own daughters boobs? I disagree with taking someone else’s pet or allowing it into ur home

You misspelled N-E-W. It's not F-O-U-N-D Cat, it's N-E-W Cat.

Someone's on their way to the Vet for a check-up! Merry Christmas kitty!

This is my cat! He's an outdoor cat, guess he lost his collar, but he's not far from home and would be fine if you let him out :) thanks for taking care of him! I hope he was sweet and friendly!

Haha, I don't let him do that, he makes that decision himself. He's car savvy and smart enough to take care of himself, and I couldn't keep him inside if I wanted to. Plus I respect his sentience. Would rather have him live shorter but happy than long and miserable

Reread that last statement. There’s so much idiocy packed into a single paragraph. I don’t have time for people like you. Keep the poor cat inside. You might actually have to (gasp!) play with it and interact with it.

I would advise OP to not give the cat back to this person claiming it’s theirs, since they plan on continuing to let it roam the city streets in frigid temperatures and don’t even have the decency to get it microchipped.
