How the fuck are you supposed to commute to this city? Is there a method that doesn't leave you late every day?

Do we know exactly which streets will be shut (edit: tomorrow specifically) for the royal visit? I have an appointment on Union Street at 1 that I CANNOT be late for, so I need to plan accordingly.

I don’t understand why people still don’t get basic public transport etiquette. Why do people Insist on wearing their very large backpacks on a crowded train during rush hour? Why won’t people get off the crowded trains during rush hour to let people out - you can just stand aside to easily get back inside? Why do some people still not bother to wear earphones? I get why some people eat on the T, even though I personally wouldn’t, but why the fuck do you leave your food wrappers and other shit like that on the seats when you’re done? I’m just so sick of it.

What’s the best way to get more details on Biden’s visit on Friday? I have a flight out of Logan at 7 AM. Trying to figure out if I need to adjust my plans for both road and airport delays (was planning to Uber from Medford/Malden area).

I’ve found the most reliable form of transportation for the able-bodied is walking.

A city can have a downtown that is built for people first, or cars first, but not both. It is impossible to have one’s cake and eat it, too, in terms of getting vehicle traffic through quickly, and creating a safe, pleasant, main street atmosphere for people outside of cars.

Right now, much of Boston is trying to have its cake and eat it, too, and we’re all suffering for it. Ban cars. Build more housing. Let them walk.

I can already tell this isn’t the answer you’re looking for, but I’ve been biking into downtown or Kendall Sq from Arlington,Dorchester, or Chelsea for the last 10 years and have been punctual about 99% of the time. (The 1% is from when I get a flat or have to take the T bc of snow or whatever.)

You have to leave absurdly early, then you're on time when there's inevitable traffic/delays, or in the unlikely event that you're early, you need to find a library or cafe to kill time in.

Or bike.

Good bars to watch the US/Netherlands World Cup game on Sat morning? Is downtown or Fenway better?

Did anyone get a photo of the moon setting last night around 10:24 pm? It was amazing.

I have jury duty at Superior Court downtown. What’s the closest parking garage and how early should I get there to get a spot? Thanks.

I heard it from city hall security. I was there at 2 and it was still open but as I was leaving they were starting to move some metal barriers and stuff. Then I was over at north st and saw the escort coming through the tunnel from the airport, so I was glad I got out of there.
