I love Riverview pizza so much!
A day at Crane then this - family win.
Don't get me wrong, I love Riverview, but it's not bar pizza. Bar pizza is baked in shallow pans and topped with a cheddar/mozzarella blend. Riverview's pizza is panless and purely mozzarella.
Agree. That place has been great for decades
Monte’s in Lynn
Montes is absolutely terrible boomer food. I made the mistake of getting the "special". I swear that put diced canned pork on it. Was disgusting. That place was a huge let down.
have to agree, just not good quality pizza, reminded me of frozen pizza
Nice, thanks. That's not far at all
This is the way
if you're on facebook, https://www.facebook.com/groups/southshorebarpizzasocialclub/ its called south shore only because bar pizza is typically a south shore thing. but they have recommendations for all over the state.
For Pizza in Medford
Choate Bridge Pub in Ipswich is bar pizza ish
Sweet, thanks. For Pizza looks really good
> Choate Bridge Pub
that place makes godly fried clam plates. got married at the hellenic center and i think we spent most of the non-wedding time at that bar eating fried clams
City slicker cafe in Somerville has bar style pizza, and so does the bow market. There is a place called hot box and they sell both bar style pizza and roast beef
Sam and Joe's in Danvers is my favorite. They have a bacon and scallops pizza to die for
Brown Jug in Revere Chelsea
No
Monte’s. The one and only
Bravo in Manchester By the Sea makes a great thin crust pie
Better off hitting Volo Craft in Swampscott for their Detroit Style. Its the best. Or you can get Cape Cod pizza frozen at Market Basket
Man. Volo was so bland and overly doughy for me. Avenue in Somerville blows it out of the water by every metric.
kind of the complete opposite of what OP is looking for
North shore got real pizza. You’re gonna have to go to the south shore for that
Real pizza? In Boston area? You may be thinking of New Haven ;-)
