I read somewhere they're at around 27 out of a target 32 number of dispatchers (up from 10 or so at their worst)...I'm gonna take a wild guess and say I'll still be waiting 15mins between Orange line trains during rush hour until...September 2023?

It isn't reduced service, this is the new permanent level of service.

Exactly like every other service these days. We are in the new normal of "eh fuck it" service.

IIRC they also don’t have enough operators either nor the training capacity for more than half a dozen at a time and training lasts a while.

I'm sure there;s more to it than just number of dispatchers.

The MBTA has been deferring critical maintenance for too long. :(

Current service is a joke and a disgrace for a city that claims it is world class. I'm going with 2024.

When they shutdown the orange line for another 3 months they will be able to have full service on the other lines.
