Folks at Savin Hill def wouldn’t allow for a larger station and would probably get Lynch to nix it or direct it (yellow) to the dilapidated JFK/UMass stop as usual. Also, your red line doesn’t split until some unknown place before Fields Corner when it splits at JFK currently? Reason? Could just turn JFK/UMass into a major intersection moreso than it is and toss the yellow line in there too.

That's where the Red Line splits today. The Braintree branch parallels the Ashmont branch past Savin Hill without stopping.

To respond to your point about opposition from the locals at Savin Hill, on the one hand I feel like I missed an opportunity to have the yellow and dark purple lines meet at JFK. On the other hand though, this will either a) never happen or b) be implemented by a god-emperor who doesn’t care what the locals say.
