It's not all of these as half of Dorchester actually has red line. Ashmont to South Station is usually less than twenty minutes.

The entirety of Mattapan relies on one bus line. Our the southern most part which has trolly access. The other half of Dorchester relies on commuter rail.

Roslindale is also pretty boned.

Roslindale isn’t that bad considering there’s a bunch of bus lines going from the square to Forest Hills plus the commuter rail. Not nearly as fucked as Mattapan and most of BHA

The bus is the part that sucks because you're guaranteed a line change. It also multiplies risk factor because there's more things that can go wrong.

I guess it's more about expectations.

Yeah.. but the amount of times the Red Line is down because a switch isn't working at JFK, medical emergency, someone got hit by a train, or it has to go 1 MPH because of weather.. etc. Yes, it is the worst.

Yeah all the lines suck. But imagine waiting for a bus that's delayed for 20 minutes to then waiting for a train delayed 20 more minutes
