Going in a couple of months, not sure if there any hole in the wall places to visit or any local courts like NY but any recommendations are appreciated!

Bill Russell statue at City Hall.
If you can afford it and there’s a game while you’re here, go to a Celtics game. One of the best crowds in the league, just a great environment
Ya college basketball here is not that popular college hockey is more popular here. As others have mentioned the basketball hall of fame is in Springfield and if are driving from NY you can swing by there on the way. Celtics game would be a big one if you can afford it.
If you're going to be in Massachusetts in general and have some time to spare maybe take the drive to Springfield,MA and visit the basketball hall of fame
We're not much of a college basketball town, but in a couple months, you have a chance of catching a quality ACC game at Boston College. Northeastern, BU and Harvard are other Boston D-1 schools but in lesser conferences.
Quality ACC team at a Boston College game*
hah right. not sure if duke or NC are coming this year but BC still has the occasional guy who goes pro. I believe there’s still a few out there in the NBA (Reggie Jackson, Jerome Robinson, and Ky Bowman recently)
It’s true, caught some BC games a few yrs ago when they had Bowman and Robinson and good seats were extremely affordable and the games were great. This season looks….tough so far
