I often see honeycomb tripe and pork trotter at H Mart and 99 Ranch Market, and a few times at Market Basket. I haven't had too many problems finding dried chiles and hominy at most supermarkets or corner stores.

You want to go to La Oaxaquena in Revere. It's legit and has a huge selection of chiles.

If you need a good Mexican restaurant, I recommend Angela's Cafe in East Boston for a traditional Puebla-style kitchen.

Unfortunately, Boston area doesn't have a large enough Mexican population to warrant ubiquity in what you're looking for. We have a huge Central and South American community (El Salvador, Colombia, Peru, etc) but the shops that cater to that community aren't quite the same.

Yeah. You’ll find that Boston shines better in other immigrant categories in terms of food, while severely lacking in others. There’s good Mexican here, it’s just far and few between.

If you miss a good roadside taqueria, Taqueria Don Rogue is as close as you get to a taco truck in SoCal. It’s very good, just sitting in a parking lot in Everett. Jalisco in East Boston is another favorite and they make a stellar birria too. If you’re close to Waltham, Taqueria El Amigo is phenomenal.

phu cuong in Dorchester is a vietnamese market but they have everything you will need there if it's closer to to you then all the markets in Eastie/Revere.

If you’re in JP go to Americas Food Basket in Hyde Park. I’m Salvi and my family would go there for all our grocery shopping. Also Happy Market by Forest Hills/JP tennis courts is well stocked on a lot of Latin American products and even sells Dominican food n stuff

Dude it’s rough. I am Mexican and still have my mom send me stuff from home a few times a year haha. Mi Salvador Mexicano (small store and restaurant next door) in Chelsea is pretty good but limited selection tbh. They do have meats for menudo as well as an ok pastry section and all the candies and snacks. If It’s more convenient to go West, Patel Bros grocery store, on Moody street in Waltham, has a very good selection of dried chiles and salsas though. They may have what you need. There’s a few Guatemalan stores in the area too that I feel like I’ve seen tripe at. At the very least you can stock up on dried goods and grab some good corn atole!

+1 for El Amigo in Waltham. Closest thing to authentic Mexican street food I’ve found

One more thing- if you’re interested in great quality high end Mexican dining, I recently discovered Acitrón in Arlington. It was FANTASTIC and the flavors were so authentic to what I ate growing up.
