Headed to the aquarium next week, I see that backpacks over 12”x12” are not allowed. With a diaper bag exception.

Would a Kelty kid (ride in) backpack be allowed? We are thinking cause we can stow diapers in it and also give the kid a break if he is tired it may be easier then a stroller.

Edit: also debating on whether a stroller might be the best choice.

2nd edit: thanks for all the help! Sounds like we should be good with either choice. Happy New Years.

I don't know the definitive answer, but I would be surprised if it wasn't allowed. It's a learning environment so I'd assume they'd accommodate something like that for a child's comfort. That being said, I'd just give them a call and ask if you want official policy confirmation.

Website wasn’t super clear and I have tried calling the last few days. It’s super busy due to vacation, so I’m guessing that’s why I haven’t heard back.

Not sure, but I took my kids last week and brought a normal backpack and no one said anything!

A compact umbrella stroller is my preference for kids over 6 months, although I always carried a moby wrap as well in case they got fussy. I have a backpack diaper bag and it was never a problem. I don't think they'll look twice at a carrier pack, even with storage.

They have lockers, but I’ve never had a problem bringing my backpack in. I think you’d be fine.

Echoing what everyone else has said: I would be very surprised if they gave it a second look. Tons of parents bring strollers as well in case you had some concern about that.
