Will the payout be akin to Encore's blackjack odds?

Or $10 poker rake? 🤢

They’re adding an additional $2 for the high hand and bad beat jackpot next month

12 bucks for a 1/3 pot? In five minutes the house makes more than the entire table's hourly rate.

That’s assuming the pot is $100 at least.

J_Worldpeace t1_j6l1lrp wrote

Yup. I figured 20 bucks in rake is totally possible in 2 out of 60 hands...

Better off playing PLO. Just like 6:5 Blackjack.. the writing is on the wall with poker. I reckon Encore is 5-8 years ahead of the industry’s time with the rake and promo drops.

Yeah. 2/5, 5/10 is really where it's going. I feel that as a player, even without a bank roll. A $200 win 20 years ago at 1/2 should probably a 550 win at 2/5 now. The extra 50 bucks is saving in rake!

Funny how Charlie Baker's friends are getting their payout on sports betting just as he takes over at the NCAA.

I thought we couldn't bet on college sports in MA?

My understanding is that college sports betting will be allowed except for in-state schools like BC or UMass. However, betting will be allowed for in-state schools like them in some circumstances like March Madness..

What isn't allowed at all for college sports in Massachusetts is Daily Fantasy and that has been the case for a while now.

Really judgmental here. A lot of people bet on games just for fun knowing the odds aren’t in their favor. Betting $10 on a three hour game gives the user much more value/enjoyment rather than the lottery or scratchers which are done in a couple seconds

Sorry, you’re right, that’s brilliant analysis. You guys are doing a great job entertaining yourselves.

Dude don’t need the sarcasm, calling anyone who bets on sports stupid is pretty idiotic in its own right

I love that people aren’t satisfied with being able to bet but also need the approval of random internet commentators. GOOD JOB BETToRS! Sweet moves!

Trust me, i really don’t care what you think. I just made a counter argument to what you said because I disagreed with it. If I knew you would just refuse to even defend your own view point and just attack me I wouldnt have commented in the first place

I grew up hearing horror stories about a relative losing a fortune to gambling. It’s that one vice that can outspend any other. Check out Terrance Watanabe’s story for example. I personally believe gambling should be regulated and legal. It’s a tax on folks that fall into the trap. It’s not anything to be celebrated.

Sure some people will become addicted and lose a ton of money gambling, but the vast majority will not and just gamble small amounts of money for fun. Pretty similar to drinking in that regard, some people are alcoholics but the majority will just drink socially in relatively healthy amounts. Like all vices, it’s about moderation

Anyone making a sports wager to make money is stupid. Doing it for fun is your business.

That’s not what the original comment said tho, the majority of people will do it for fun knowing it’s more likely then not you lose money

Is there an explanation for why mobile doesn’t happen until March? I have to imagine all the apps are ready to basically just remove the location block for MA and turn it on

Probably because the casinos paid very good money to grease some palms and get to keep all the Superbowl betting money.
