Does MGH drug test for THC upon hire?

Hi! I have an interview coming up at MGH for a research technician position, and I’m wondering if they drug test for THC specifically during the hiring process. I’m relatively new to Boston, so I’m not sure how common testing for THC is here since it is legalized. If anyone in this sub was recently hired at MGH (especially in a research role), were you tested for THC? If so, was it a saliva, urine, or hair test? Thank you in advance for all your help :)

They probably will. Maybe not consume any THC product till you actually get the job?

If it’s a hair test you’d have to be clean for weeks maybe months.

I was hired a few years ago and their drug panel did not include THC but did include most other drugs. It was a urine test.

Anything patient-facing or involving clinical research will get a urine test. If you’re doing laboratory research in, say, a molecular chemistry lab that’s associated with MGH you probably won’t.

The in-house urinary drug screen does not include marijuana, though that testing may be added if specifically ordered.

They do not. I've worked there for a few years now in research administration. Buried deep in the HR website there's a list of what they test for and it lists THC as something they don't. If they did I wouldn't be working there.

A different? poster was asking about WFH for MGH during the standard 90 day on site training period. Good help is hard to find, now more than ever.
