At the moment that seems to be the case. Personally doesn't seem to be a whole lot different than the current HD over the air signal. There are supposed to be some interactive features but I don't think anybody has utilized them yet.

I will reserve judgment until I connect my antenna and I will give an update later.

Are any Boston area stations actually using any of these features?

Channel 5 says they are, starting today.

PBS should already be broadcasting the signal.

That's the only two that I know of at the moment. After my lunch meetings I'm going to connect my antenna and see what the deal is.

Cool. Where can I get an antenna? I have internet and stream but don’t know how to on my tv so use an iPad. I’m old lol. I bought a roku I never opened over a year ago. I’d love to be able to watch something on my tv.

Now that everyone is cutting off cable, advertisers must have pushed for this or why buy ads anymore. After a little research, apparently the tv broadcast antennas are not in the optimal direction. I live in a granite building with windows only on one side so not sure.
