Without going into too much detail has anyone else been dealing with GI symptoms recently? I mostly have nausea, stomach pain and diarrhea (sorry if TMI). Trying to figure out if it’s something I ate or something that’s going around.

I’ve heard a couple people experiencing something similar within the past week so I think it’s likely

just went through it in my house in the southern part of the area… very unpleasant but it only went on for a day or two.

Edit to add… stay hydrated.

I've heard from several people who are otherwise unconnected (ie: didn't dine at the same place or live in the same household) who've been hit in the last two weeks.

One of them was told that, because they had a fever, it wasn't food poisoning but likely a GI virus, FWIW.

I had it this week. Today was my first day of normal bowel movements since Saturday. Brutal week.

Glad you’re feeling better! So far it’s just been loose BMs IYKWIM and abdominal discomfort. Been taking pepto. Hopefully it won’t last too much longer.

Pepto didn’t touch this thing. Thought I was going to have to call a priest.

I tried a tumeric plant beverage that really helped.

My wife is a preschool teacher and several kids have been out with it this week.

Had it last weekend. Got it from my spouse who got it from our friend's toddler when they babysat. Thankfully, it wasn't too harsh. As far as I know, we've been the only ones in our circle to get it.

Good way to supercharge that new years diet! /s

Likely a bug. Just lay low, sleep a lot, stay hydrated. If you can't hold stuff down for more than 72 hours check in with a doc. Dehydration is serious.

Use immodium. It works wonders.

We definitely had it in our house. I assume we got it on the plane back here from FL last week. Took me about 5 days to totally recover.

It's going through every school, and our household too. Hope you feel better soon.

It’s been ripping through the schools.

Hi everyone, if you are experiencing these symptoms and get a diagnosis based on lab testing, please DM me if you don't mind. I just heard about a patient in a precarious situation who had been experiencing gastrointestinal symptoms this past week and perhaps one of you could help expedite their diagnosis. Thank you!
