Hi, I am moving to Boston with my wife and I was wondering how much is people paying of water, electricity, gas, heating etc.
Some houses does include everything but they are very expensive, while others look very cheap but nothing is included. It looks quite complicated to have a monthly estimation for 2 people. Can you help me?

It really depends on the property but the floor is on average $400 a month for everything, (Gas/Oil, Electric, water, internet) and the ceiling is around $800 per month.
People get by on less and could certainly run up their bills to more, but these are good ranges to work within.

400 water (often covered in rentals)
500 internet (800 if you dont cancel and sign as a new customer every year)
Living in an 800sq ft 2bedroom with baseboard heating heated by gas, no central air (use 2 12K BTU to cool down apartment in summer). Heat set to 65F with room primarily being kept warm from sunlight during the day, after sunset, heating raised to 69F. Heating turned down to 62F before going to bed. 2 people shower twice a day.
Summer Electric : $80-100 Summer Gas : $25-35 Winter electric: $50-60 Winter Gas : $140-160
Internet $45 for gig speed (pay for my own router and modem)

1200 sq foot apartment, 3 of us living here. Gas heat. We signed up for balanced billing for gas so our gas bill is $81 a month. $150 for cable/internet but I’m dropping cable soon which should bring that under $100 a month hopefully. Electric varies, it was over $200 in the summer bc we have central air. Now it’s down around $110.
I live on the first floor of an 1840s house. About 1500sf of living space. Forced hot water radiators and baseboard heated by gas, gas hot water, gas range, electric dryer, electric wall oven, window unit air conditioning in summer.
My total annual gas bill last year was about $2200, with summers under $30 and winter months up to $400. We use balanced billing to even it out.
Electric is about $120 in the fall and spring months. Has gone as high as $500 in winter when we're running space heaters. As high as $350 in the height of summer. We have a second fridge in the basement, a dehumidifier in the basement, and do a lot of laundry and dishes with a family of 4.
We spent thousands of dollars on insulation and more on new windows, energy star everything, there's just no good way to tighten up these old houses.
Most rentals here include water.
Make sure it doesn't have resistance heat if you pay utilities. That can cost more than a used car to operate.

Currently the cheapest oil is approx $4.25/gal. Electricity from Nat Grid is about .33/KW, water and sewer rates are a little harder to determine but $20/1000 gal.
Many people have seen their electricity, gas, oil double this year. I don't know where those commentators are getting their info, but they seem quite low.
